15-year-old boy stabbed to death in north London park

A 15-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in a north London park, police said.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called to reports of a stabbing in Highbury Fields shortly before 9pm on Thursday, Aug. 4.

Officers attended to paramedics where he was treated before being taken to hospital where he later died.

While the investigation begins, a crime scene has been established, police said. No arrests have been made yet, the Metropolitan Police added, but investigations are underway to inform the boy’s family.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A murder investigation is ongoing following a stabbing in Islington.

“Police were called to Highbury Fields, N5 shortly before 9pm on Thursday, August 4 due to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

“A man, believed to be 15 years old, was found with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he sadly died a short time later.

“A crime scene has been established.

“No arrests have been made; the investigation into the circumstances is underway.

“Crime homicide detectives have been informed.
