VANCOUVER — An agency providing emergency communications services for BC says some parts of the province are experiencing a 911 service outage.

E-Comm said in a press release Thursday that the outage will affect callers in South-Central Okanagan.

It says people can call their local 10-digit police number if they need immediate assistance.

The cause of the disruption is unknown and 911 service remains unaffected in the rest of the province, the agency says.
