The annual Agapi care radiothon will take place on Sunday May 15, 11am to midnight, live on 3XY (1422pm) from 537 High Street in Preston.
The funds collected will be spent on the continuous development of the non-profit association’s new projects to improve the quality and accessibility of services for people with special needs.
This year it’s been 35 years since Agapi careand some major projects are underway, as the organization’s president, Arthur Evriniadis, has announced.
“In 2022, we will complete the construction of our new headquarters at 4 Bruce Street Preston, the construction of our new facility at Liston Road Glenroy and now the refurbishment of our new acquisition in Oakleigh.”
Located in the heart of the Greek community, at 15 Burlington St, the new Oakleigh center will provide short-term accommodation, assistance and respite to people with disabilities living in that region.
The performance and quality of care provided by these organizations have once again been rewarded. Chief Executive Officer Mary Gakopoulos expressed his joy at receiving the Community Organization of the Year Award and the Honorable award for entrepreneurs for 2021.
“This achievement by everyone is another indication of our commitment to providing quality service as we strive to continuously improve our services and support by listening to your feedback,” she says.
