Assistance made available for Broken Bow students this summer

The Broken Bow Schools have canceled classes for the summer. Students usually look forward to summer vacation. However, this year many students left the classroom with a heavy heart and unanswered questions because of the tragic loss of Ms. Angie Miller, their elementary school counselor.

Darren Toby, Superintendent of the Broken Bow Schools, released a statement on Friday, May 20, to extend the school’s condolences to Ms Miller’s family and friends. He also assured parents and students that help will be available this summer. Mr Tobey’s statement reads:

“All of us at Broken Bow Schools extend our deepest condolences to Ms Miller’s family and friends. Mrs. Miller was a wonderful mother, educator, counselor, and friend to many people. She has helped, shaped and taught so many students during her career. If your child is having a particularly difficult time coping with this situation, please contact the school at 308-872-2982 and we will provide additional help throughout the summer if needed.
