Bayern offer Ronaldo escape from Man Utd as Barca bid for Lewandowski

Bayern Munich want Cristiano Ronaldo to replace Robert Lewandowski if the Polish goal machine moves to Barcelona. Also: Man Utd’s second Frenkie De Jong bid is imminent…

BAYERN OFFERS RONALDO
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently every Manchester United fan. Only he doesn’t have to linger and watch the club descend further into the depths of mediocrity.

Apparently Ronaldo is concerned about United’s transfer company under Erik ten Hag, or lack thereof. this much, file says the 37-year-old is considering leaving the club this summer.

Coincidentally, Ronaldo could have a tantalizing escape route from Old Trafford if he wants it. AS thinks Bayern Munich are ready to move for the Portuguese star…

BARCA MAKES FIRST MOVEMENT FOR LEWANDOWSKI
Bayern’s move, we assume, will depend on Robert Lewandowski’s future. That could be at Barcelona.

We all know that Barça want Poland’s goal machine, but doubts remain whether they have the means. The Catalans have tried to reassure everyone, especially Lewandowski, that they meant it by making an official offer for the 33-year-old, who only has a one-year contract with Bayern.

The Telegraph estimates the offer is worth just over £34 million. Barca would cough up £30 million upfront with a further £4.3 million in add-ons. In short, Barça has offered Bayern their Sadio Mane money back.

CAVANI WAIT AS ALTERNATIVE OF BARCA
One player closely watching Barca’s hunt for Lewandowski is Edinson Cavani…

wire transfers Barca thinks Barca are back on track with the Uruguay striker, who is a free agent after his departure from Man Utd, at least officially, at the end of the season. Mentally, he left sometime in the winter.

For now, Cavani is sitting still – something he did for most of last season – as he appears to be their first alternative if Lewandowski cannot be bought from Bayern.

MAN UTD MAKES ANOTHER OFFER FROM THE YOUNG
Barca could finance the deal with Lewandowski and a few others by selling Frenkie De Jong to United. So the Catalans are motivated to take every last euro they can from the Red Devils.

United have reportedly failed with one £51.6million bid because Barca, within reason, do not want to take a loss on a player they have signed for £65million.

indeed, the Manchester Evening News say United are preparing a second offer, with Barca making it clear they want £75million guaranteed, with extras too.

Apparently United are ‘negotiating hard’ because they don’t want De Jong’s compensation to affect their ability to strengthen elsewhere. In other news, the Glazers will pay themselves £11 million in dividends today.
