starfieldthe next big RPG from Elder Scrolls and precipitation developers Bethesda, has been delayed from a 2022 release to 2023, the company just announced.
Originally slated for a November 2022 release on PC and Xbox consoles, it will now be out in the “first half of 2023”. redfallthe vampire shooter from Arkane Austinwhich was set to release on the same platforms sometime in the summer.
Bethesda issued a brief statement on both delays, saying:
We have made the decision to postpone the Redfall and Starfield launches until the first half of 2023.
The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games and we want to make sure you get the best, most polished versions of them.
We want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a big part of what inspires us all every day and fuels our own excitement for what we create.
We can’t wait to share our first deep dive into gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon. Thank you for your support.

Unless it’s delayed, Starfield, exclusively for the Xbox console, comes out on November 11. That said, we still haven’t really seen Bethesda’s next game, other than last year’s movie trailer and a slew of concept art.
