Clothing program helps JCPS families as the end of the school year approaches

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jefferson County Public Schools has just over a week until classes end and summer break begins.

Kids eager to get into the warm weather can pick out clothes on Saturday at the JCPS Clothing Assistance Program event.

Besides clothes, there were also some toys and books to spend the break.

Programs like this normally see hundreds of families every day, not just from the school district, but from across the community.

Volunteers said there were queues at 8am for an event starting at 10am

The donations that went to the community also came from the community. JCPS families, stores and corporate donors give year round to help make the Clothing Assistance Program possible.
