Folie á Deux Fan Art teases Joaquin Phoenix as the two jokers

Warner Bros. and DC Comics are getting ready to start production on their upcoming Joker sequel, and earlier today they revealed that the movie will bow on October 4, 2024. Fans are getting really excited for the sequel, even toying with the movie’s title. . The title of the film, Joker: Folie á Deux, refers to the idea of two Jokers in the film, but it more than likely refers to Harley Quinn. Thus, fans create fan art of multiple versions of the character in the movie. A new artwork from BossLogic, features two versions of Joaquin Phoenix’s Clown Prince of Crime.

Bosslogic has released the art on its social media channels and it shows the actor in the costume from the movie as well as a comically accurate purple suit. Obviously people are hoping Phoenix gets a more accurate look for the Joker sequel, but they’ll probably do something more original like the first movie. You can check out the fan art below!

The film is directed by Todd Phillips and will bring back Phoenix with Lady Gaga expected to join the cast as Harley Quinn. Phillips has been in the news lately after his name popped up in reports suggesting he was a filmmaker. Warners was interested in possibly directing DC Films. At one point, the director admitted to throwing a very “dark” label on DC bosses, though that never came to fruition – until now.

“When I threw them ‘Joker,’ it wasn’t a movie, it was, let’s do a whole label,” Phillips said in 2019. “They quickly shut that down and I get it. Who am I to walk in and to start a label in a movie studio? But they said let’s do this one.”

He added: “This is the real truth about a sequel. While Joaquin and I have been talking about it, and as we tour the world with Warner Bros executives – to Toronto and Venice and other places – of course we are eating and they say, “So, have you thought about…?” But speaking of contracts, there’s no contract for us to even write a sequel, we’ve never approached Joaquin for a sequel. Will that happen? Again, I just think the article was anticipatory at best. “
