Hideo Kojima Announces Xbox Partnership to ‘Make a Game I’ve Always Wanted to Make’

During the Xbox Bethesda Game Showcase, Hideo Kojima announced that he will be collaborating with Xbox on a game that Kojima said he had “always wanted to make”.

In a new collaboration announcement, Kojima says they are in the early stages of a new concept that will include Microsoft’s “cutting-edge technology” and “change in industry trends” to some extent.

“It’s a completely new game that no one has ever experienced or seen,” says Kojima. “I’ve waited a long time for the day when I could finally start making it.”

While details are scarce, Kojima says this “never-before-seen concept” will be a challenge for him to create. Could this be a new genre for Kojima after stealth action, horror and the “skein” of Death Stranding?

Kojima’s new partnership has been part of the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase with several new announcements, including Persona coming to Xbox and Silksong coming to Xbox Game Pass.
