Fresh off the heels of his first foray as a touring visual artist earlier this year with stops at galleries in Florida and New Jersey, world-renowned guitarist Joe Satrianic now plans to bring its performances to the Washington, DC area. satrianic‘s next art performances will be at the Wentworth’s Gallery at Tysons Galleria in McLean, Virginia on Saturday, June 11 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as well as a visit on Sunday, June 12 at the Wentworth’s Gallery at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM satrianic has prepared unique pieces for the exhibition, including original canvases and hand-painted guitars. satrianic also just released his 19th studio album, “The Elephants of Mars”with much rave reviews.
Christian O’Mahonydirector at Wentworth’s Gallerysaid: “Joe is a master storyteller. Just as his music attracts the listener, his art attracts the viewer. His artwork is emotional, imaginative and fantastic. You don’t just see through the universe Joe‘s eyes, but you’re also considering our place in it.”
added Joe: “Music and art are my passions. I like to make the invisible visible and the unimaginable real. By the way, the image on a canvas or an electric guitar can make you feel something unexpected and revealing, something that is the beginning of a greater personal insight. Challenging the straight line and the concepts of what belongs to what excites me. I want to experience new color combinations to let me see beyond the prevailing reality. There is a balance between seriousness and humor that can bring a kind of resilience in a painting and a longevity, making it forever contemporary. When I paint and play guitar, I strive to be in a state of excitement and convey that feeling to my fans.”

satrianic is the world’s most commercially successful solo guitar artist, with six gold and platinum discs to his credit (including another gold award for his band’s debut album CHICKEN LEG), and sales of over 10 million copies.
Since September 18, 1970 (the day of his idol) Jimi Hendrix passed away),satrianic has devoted himself to the artistry of the instrument. While still a teenager in his hometown of Westbury, New York, he taught guitar to another aspiring six-string hopeful, Steve Vaic† A few years later, satrianic moved to San Francisco and played guitar in a popular new wave band, THE SQUARESand joined shortly THE GREG KIHN BAND before the release of “Not of This Earth”†
satrianic‘s reputation was already growing in guitar circles — along with Orsome of his other students were METALLIC‘s Kirk Hammett and TESTAMENT‘s Alex Skolnick – but in 1987 he broke through to the masses with his second studio full-length, “Surfing with the Stranger”a huge seller (it reached number 29 on the Billboard 200) that included the radio hits “Satch Boogie” and the title track. The success of that album caught the attention of Mick Jaggerwho asked satrianic to be his lead guitarist on his first-ever solo tour in 1988.
As a live artist, satrianic has traveled the world with each new release. In 1993 he joined DARK PURPLE as a temporary replacement for Ritchie Blackmore during a Japanese tour. 1996, satrianic founded the multi-guitarist travel experience called G3with which he shares stages with Or† Eric Johnson† Yngwie Malmsteen† Robert Fripp, among other things. And from 2009 satrianic traveled the world again as a member of CHICKEN LEG† The all-star band (including singer) Sammy Hagarformer FROM HALEN bassist Michael Anthony and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith) has released two albums, their 2011 debut and follow-up “Chicken Foot III”†
satrianic‘s solo discography contains many classics, including those from 1989 “Flying in a Blue Dream”† “The Extremist” from 1992, “Is there love in space?” (2004) and 2010 “Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards”† are 15 Grammy nominations have been for songs like “Always with me, always with you”† “The Infatuation” and “Summer song”as well as full albums like “Surfing with the Stranger”“The Extremist” and “Super Colossal”†
satrianic has appeared in films such as: Christopher Guest‘s 2006 release “For your attention”and the 2011 Brad Pitt starrer “money ball”† Over the years he has designed and approved guitars, amps and effects pedals for… Ibanez† Marshall and Vox† His JS Series of guitars by Ibanez is one of the company’s most popular and consistent sellers.
As an artist, satrianic released his first collection, “Shining Collection”in the summer of 2019 with “Radiant Echoes Collection” closely followed in 2020, both are receiving both critical acclaim and praise from fans. The first two collections are partly made of Joe‘s performance on the test. He used a glove developed by SceneFour who uses light to describe his movements on the fingerboard and translate them into abstract artworks before taking the canvases back to his home studio and adding paint. These original canvases stood out at Wentworth Galleries and satrianic began developing unique works for display in Florida. In addition to the many “space” themed pieces that he will present, satrianic will also showcase his highly sought-after hand-painted guitars that he has been modifying for years. This is satrianic‘s first foray into the world of a traveling artist.
