Judge rejects request to postpone rape | Camden-Narellan Advertiser

The man accused of raping Brittany Higgins has rejected his request to stop his prosecution.

ACT Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucy McCallum delivered his ruling Friday afternoon.

Bruce Lehrmann was charged with rape last year and pleads not guilty.

He was on trial in the ACT Supreme Court for allegedly raping Ms Higgins in an office in Parliament House in March 2019.

A trial period of six weeks has been set for June.
