Justin Timberlake Apologizes For Failed Beat Ya Feet Dance

Justin Timberlake has apologized for badly ruining an attempted Beat Ya Feet dance at Pharrell’s Something In The Water fest, which took place last weekend in Washington, DC. Beat Ya Feet, as you know, is a dance style that emerged from the go-go music in DC in the early 00s. DCist points out that it should look like this one† Justin’s version did NOT look like this (comparisons ranged from “IT specialist” to “Dad at Costco”), and the internet let him know.

Now Timberlake has responded and apologized. On his Instagram story, Timberlake apologizes to the city of DC, saying he had a “long conversation” with his right and left foot (separately), saying, “Don’t ever do that to me again.” Timberlake also suspected that the khaki he wore during the performance may have been responsible for the overall lameness. “Maybe it was the khakis… I’m going to focus on these two guys here, and make sure they’re good. Love you all,” he concludes.

Mayor Muriel Bowser, who just won the Democratic primary on Tuesday, is considering pardon:
