Check out what Kim revealed about her messy divorce, her Kris Humphries “joke,” and how she tried to hide her relationship with Pete Davidson from cameras!
Kim Kardashian gave some insight into her complicated love life in Thursday’s new episode of “The Kardashians” — from her Kanye West split to a blossoming romance with “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson.
Speaking to Sister Kourtney, Kim explained that she was still troubled by her “SNL” monologue, in which she said she was “divorced from him” because of “his personality.” As she’d previously explained, West didn’t like her using the word “divorce” because it still wasn’t a foregone conclusion.
“He did an interview last night and said that SNL had led me to say I was divorced from him. I came prepared with my monologue and that really upset him and I showed him the monologue and he said he would never read,” she told Kourtney. “Kanye had a hard time with what I said. He says, ‘I didn’t sign the divorce papers.’ I ask him all the time [why he hadn’t]† He says he will, and then he says, ‘I don’t want a divorce, so I’m not going to sign them.'”

In a confessional, Kim explained that she does her best not to share “a lot of the negative things that have happened” with West, in part because he himself isn’t on the show to comment. At the time, she said that if and when she brings up something, the response she gets is, “How dare she talk about it” — when he can “make a song that’s so creative and expressive.” She mentioned the perceived double standard, adding, “It’s always that two different sides are expressed in two different ways and one is respected and the other is not.”
Speaking to Kourtney, Kim said she is “very confident” she made the right decision by submitting the application, adding that she “just knew it wasn’t the right situation for me” and is now feeling “super good” feels about things. That said, she also had a bit of an identity crisis, as West molded her fashion sense while they were together.
“I got to a point where I would ask him for advice on everything, up to and including what I’m wearing. Even now I’m having panic attacks, what am I wearing?” she said. “In New York, he totally styled me for SNL. Then for the Wall Street Journal Magazine – I won the Innovator Award for Skims – I thought, how do I wear something that hasn’t been vetted first?”

She said she was “so nervous” about choosing our own look (above) and claimed that West called her after the event and “told me my career was over and then showed me a photo of Marge Simpson wearing something similar.”
Kardashian went on to say fashion was “the last thing we really had in common” and she’s been trying to figure out her own aesthetic after the split. “Who is Kim K… how do I get there without Kanye?”
The episode also featured a few quick references to two other men in Kim’s life: ex-husband Kris Humphries and current beau Pete Davidson. First, when she rehearsed her speech for Simon Huck’s wedding, she referred to Humphries by joking, “I like gay marriage. I haven’t been there since my second marriage.”

She was later seen texting someone in a confessional when a producer asked who she was speaking to. “Leave me alone,” she said with a knowing laugh. “That’s a big smile,” noted the off-camera producer, adding, “Does his name rhyme with feet?”
At a dinner party for Kris Jenner’s birthday, Kim told Scott she was “probably busy” when she missed a call from him… and it was clear she meant busy with Pete. “I look at all the comments and everyone says, that guy is damn nice,” Disick told her then, before Kim said Davidson was “truly the sweetest, nicest person on the planet.” As she, Scott, and guests Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi continued to talk about him, Kim tried to break off the conversation by telling them, “I’ll tell you later. We’ll talk later.”
New episodes of “The Kardashians” appear on Hulu every Thursday.
