The Atlanta resident recently spoke out about his friend Young Thug’s treatment after he and several other people with ties to YSL were arrested on RICO charges.

‘YSL is a family. YSL is a quality mark. YSL is a way of life. YSL is a lifestyle. YSL is not a gang. YSL is not a criminal [organization]† YSL is not a street gang. YSL is not a mafia,” he wrote at the time.

According to The New York Times, the charges allege that Young Thug, née Jeffrey Williams, founded Young Slime Life, a gang that started in Atlanta in 2012 with connections to the Bloods.

It also alleges that members of YSL were “involved in a wide variety of illegal activities, including witness harassment, murder, attempted murder, carjacking, robbery, robbery and drug trafficking.”
