Lori Harvey sparks debate with exercise routine after revealing she gained 15 pounds when she started dating Michael B. Jordan

Model Lori Harvey appeased fans who had asked her how she got her body into such amazing shape with a video on TikTok on May 13. Harvey also revealed that she had gained 15 pounds after dating ‘Black Panther’ actor Michael B. Jordan.

Harvey told her fans that she had lost weight on a low-calorie diet of meat and vegetables. She also incorporated cardiovascular exercise into her routine and keeps in shape with Pilates.

“So when Mike and I got together, I put on about 15 pounds of relationship weight,” she revealed. “And it was terrible. None of my clothes fit… So I’ve been doing Pilates consistently, like last year. I’ve been doing it for a few years, but over the past year I’ve been really consistent.”

The model added that she exercised almost daily for the first few months and sometimes twice in one day.

“When I was trying to lose weight I was training five, six times a week and I would even do the first month and a half, I think I did twice a day. So what I would do was, I was in a calorie deficit. I think that I was consuming maybe 1200 calories a day and I didn’t have a specific eating regime, I just tried to do like meat and veggies and like minimal carbs.”

She went on to say that after her Pilates class, she would hit the gym and run for 30 minutes on the treadmill or go for a walk. The model also responded to several comments on TikTok.

“Before you all start your st, here’s what worked for me and MY body,” the model warned. “Everyone is different, so adapt your needs to meet your goals.”

Harvey responded after a TikTok user noted that Harvey called her boyfriend, actor Michael B. Jordan, “Mike.”

“Imagine calling your Michael B Jordan ‘Mike’,” the TikTok user wrote. Harvey replied, “Girl, do you want me to call him by his full name?!”

Writer Tammie Teclemariam shared the video on Twitter, and users on the platform began discussing Harvey’s exercise regimen. “I’m starting to think I’ll never have Lori Harvey’s body…”

One Twitter user seemed annoyed by Harvey’s statement, suggesting that Harvey’s fitness routine isn’t realistic for the average person.

“I’ll piss you all off, but idc… Lori Harvey can do this because she doesn’t have a job. She leads a life of leisure and luxury, of course she has the time to devote to this.”

“As someone else said, her 24 hours is not the same as my 24 hours. Do you think she makes her own meals? Cleaning her own house? Wash her own clothes? Cooking for her children? Do your own shopping? No one makes excuses, but she has more time than the average person.”

Other fans claimed that Harvey’s routine is possible for a hard-working person and noted that it was possible to tailor her tips to their own needs.

“I disagree. Two-a-day is quite possible for people who don’t lead a life of leisure and luxury,” they wrote. “30 minutes of fasting cardio in the early morning. An hour of resistance training in the late evening Meal prep for the week. Not difficult.”

“Well, she’s a little extreme (that’s why she looks so good), but you can adjust it. You could get up and do Pilates, provided you have a machine, and get to work. Going for a run or rollerblading after work a few times a week, my preference,” replied another.

“That’s true, I just said that just because someone might not be able to follow her exact regimen doesn’t mean they can’t lose weight,” replied another Twitter user. “There are other options that better suit people’s lifestyles.”
