Lowalde Recreation Reserve in Epping is being upgraded

The City of Whittlesea invites residents to share their ideas for future improvements to Lowalde Recreation Reserve in Epping.

Community feedback will help shape the council’s plans for the reserve, which will deliver both short- and long-term improvements, including potential new sports and play equipment, lighting upgrades, and picnic and barbecue areas.

Lydia Wilson, Whittlesea City Chairperson, said the upgrades to Lowalde Recreation Reserve will offer something for everyone.

“We are planning real and meaningful improvements at Lowalde Recreation Reserve that reflect the current and future needs of the local community,” said Ms. Wilson.

“I encourage residents to join the conversation and let us know what features or updates would support their social, health and wellness goals.”

Community walk-in sessions will be held at the Lowalde Recreation Reserve on Tuesday, May 24 from 2-4pm and Thursday, May 26 from 8am-10:30am to share your ideas in person with council staff.

To share your feedback online, visit www.engage.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/lowalde. Registration closes on Sunday 29 May.

The implementation of the actions of the master plan is expected to start at the end of 2023.
