‘Munchkins stole my heart’: group of kids wins internet with charming performance in Ladakh

Traveling doesn’t always have to be about breathtaking views or adventurous twists and turns that give you an adrenaline rush. Often the simplest incidents have a lasting impact, such as this group of children singing a song in the mountains.

Travel blogger and Instagram content creator Sneha Desai was recently on a trip to Leh, Ladakh, where she saw a group of small children perform enthusiastically against a mighty peak in the Nubra Valley. Armed with ukuleles, the 10 children saw a beautiful performance of ‘Dil Beparvah’.

“How, how are they so damn good”, Desai wondered, mesmerized by their beautiful harmonies. Desai called it the “highlight” of her journey, adding, “I could watch them perform for hours.”

The kids sang their hearts out and were not only able to recreate the feel of Ankur Tewari and Prateek Kuhad’s hit, they also got a thumbs up from the makers.

Touched by the adorable performance, Tewari and Kuhad shared the video on their Instagram stories.

And it wasn’t just the two singers who were blown away by the sweet rendition. The netizens also poured their love on the children and sought more videos of their songs. “What a great vibe,” one user wrote to the video, while another added, “This made my day. The world needs more of this now.”
