Despite some optimism earlier in the week that Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Khris Middleton would return for Game 7, there is now pessimism that will happen. ESPN insider Brian Windhorst says things haven’t developed in Milwaukee.
“Earlier this week, the people I spoke to gave me some optimism about Middleton playing this weekend, but that hasn’t happened. That hasn’t developed,” Windhorst said. “And now I would say there is pessimism about Sunday, and frankly I was told that even if the Bucks advance to the conference final, there would be pessimism that he would be ready to go.”
Middleton has been out since halfway through the Bucks first round series against the Chicago Bulls. He sustained a grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee. Middleton recently returned to training but missed six games in Milwaukee’s second round against the Boston Celtics.
