Police investigate nighttime shooting in ByWard Market

Ottawa police are investigating a shooting in the ByWard Market last night.

In an email to CTV News Ottawa, police said officers were called to Clarence Street around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday due to reports of gunfire.

Some time later, a victim was found in the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Police say the gun and gang unit is investigating, but no other details were provided.
