Roy Keane lashes out at Manchester United man who ‘played like a kid’ against Liverpool

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has criticized Marcus Rashford, claiming he ‘lost the eye of the tiger’.

Rashford, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, did not come off the bench on Monday night in United’s 3-0 win over Brentford. The forward struggled with form all season, scoring just five goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

When asked if Rashford had hit a ceiling at United and if he could ever take them to the title by Jamie Carragher, Keane told Monday Night Football: “I think he’s lost the ‘eye of the tiger’ and struggled. has to get it back Wherever Man Utd want to go Marcus is a bit left behind He has been let out again tonight and he has to sit on the couch and say ‘where did it all go wrong with me’ He seems a bit short in confidence. We’ve seen the quality before, but we haven’t seen it in a year or two, but I think he took his eye off the ball.”

Rashford made his debut in February 2016 at the age of 18, scoring 93 goals in 303 appearances for United. However, Keane believes that he has not matured as a player and is struggling to regain his hunger.

He said: “He has that experience and he has played football internationally, but he didn’t look like he was mature enough – he doesn’t mix up his game. We’ve seen a few games recently, even at Liverpool, he played through the middle and he played like a kid. It’s like he hasn’t learned the game and he’s just drifting and losing the hunger.

“But he can get it back, but when you lose it, sometimes it’s hard to get it back. I think Rashford has lost that little bit of hunger which is huge for a player and he’s a talent, but we don’t see it. “
