Mounties in Surrey are investigating a shooting at a house in the Whalley neighborhood of the city on Saturday morning.
Surrey RCMP confirmed to CTV News that a man had been shot in a house on Grosvenor Road, but said their investigation is still in its early stages.
According to a press release, officers were called to the scene at the 13700 block of the street shortly before 10 a.m.
They arrived on the scene and found a man who was seriously injured. He has been taken to hospital, police said.
“Agents are currently on the scene conducting neighborhood investigations and talking to witnesses to obtain more information,” Mounties said in their statement.
“The investigation is still in its early stages, but the first indications are that it is an isolated incident.”
A neighbor told CTV News that more than 15 emergency services had taken to the street around 10 a.m., closing the block to traffic.
Police are asking anyone who has information or video of Grosvenor Road between the 13600 and 13900 blocks to call them at 604-599-0502 and cite file number 2022-72525.
