The 10 Devices Leading Apple’s Mobile Arsenal: The 2022 Mobile 100

There is no denying that Apple has jump-started the mobile device industry with its smartphones and tablets. And the company had a booming technology market until recently fueled by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Even as sales begin to cool off as the world adjusts to a new normal, the demand for Apple’s latest tablet offering is always high. Cupertino, California-based tech powerhouse Apple maintained a 31.5 percent market share with 12.1 million units sold in the first quarter, making the company the undisputed king of the tablet space, IDC said. On the basis of shipments alone, Apple has been the leader in tablets since 2011.

In the field of smartphones, it is Samsung that maintains the leading position in the smartphone market. But Apple held a strong No. 2 position with first-quarter shipments of 56.5 million units, 18 percent of market share and 2.2 percent better than the previous year’s shipments at 2.2 percent, according to IDC. “Our research tells us that Samsung and Apple have mastered the supply chain situation better than their competitors…” IDC’s Ryan Reith said in a statement. “We continue to believe that reduced demand will not be lost, but rather promoted. It’s just a matter of when that question resumes.
