These Ottawa Neighborhoods Have the Highest Three-Dose Vaccination Rates

Only 16 Ottawa neighborhoods have 70 percent of residents age 12 and older on three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Ottawa Neighborhood Study looks at two-dose and three-dose vaccination rates in 102 Ottawa city neighborhoods. The May update looks at third-dose vaccination rates for residents aged 12 and older in urban neighborhoods.

As of Monday, May 9, Island Park – Wellington West had the highest third-dose vaccination rate for residents aged 12 years and older, at 79.6 percent. Old Ottawa South has 77.5 percent of residents over the age of 12 on three doses, while Cumberland has a 75.2 percent vaccination rate.

Across Ottawa, 62.9 percent of residents age 12 and older have received at least three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Ledbury – Heron Gate – Ridgemont has the lowest three-dose vaccination rate in Ottawa, at 37.3 percent, followed by Parkwood Hills – Stewart Farm and Bayshore – Belltown.

Ottawa Public Health encourages residents to be aware of all COVID-19 vaccinations, “especially the third doses and the fourth doses for immunocompromised people and those over 60.”
