This 2-acre flower farm near Toronto will surround you with rainbow dahlias for you to pick

If you’ve ever dreamed of a golden afternoon surrounded by towering dahlias, you might feel like Alice in Wonderland talk to the flowers at this Ontario flower farm. Just don’t expect them to talk back to you.

Andrews Scenic Acres has a rainbow field of dahlias where you can walk among the flowers and pick your own bouquet to take home. Not only can you bring fresh cut flowers, but you can also take a car ride, pick berries, eat an ice cream or drink a glass of wine.

It’s not far from downtown Toronto, so you can grab your bestie for a summer day trip to a two-acre field of flowers.

There are many different flowers that you can pick for your bouquets all summer long. It starts with the peony season in June, the dahlias bloom in July and the sunflowers can be picked up in August.

You can’t just pick flowers here, because the garden fields are even bigger this year. Asparagus picking season is in May, the berries will be ready for picking in late July during the dahlia season, and you’ll find pumpkins and other berries ripe for picking when the sunflowers begin to bloom.

If you get hungry while on the field, stop by for a BBQ lunch or snack of frozen treats like ice cream and slushies. You can also piggyback on the farm any day of the week for free with a shortened schedule on weekdays.

The 165-acre farm also has its own winery, which is made from fruit grown on the property. You can walk in for a sample tasting of one of their fruit wines, dessert wines, or their own signature red or white wines.

You may want to make sure you leave with a fully charged phone as the photo opportunities are endless.

Farm admission is $15 during the season for picking your own flowers, and each flower stalk is $2.
