Vancouver Non-Partisan Association Names Its Candidates For October’s Elections

Incumbent Melissa De Genova will run for re-election, while Elaine Allan, Cinnamon Bhayani, Ken Charko, Mauro Francis and Arezo Zarrbian were also nominated.

The Non-Partisan Association has announced it will field 10 candidates for the Vancouver October municipal elections, including four for the Parks Council.

NPA mayor candidate John Coupar said incumbent councilor Melissa De Genova would seek re-election, while Elaine Allan, Cinnamon Bhayani, Ken Charko, Mauro Francis and Arezo Zarrbian were also nominated.

Looking for seats in the park are the incumbent Tricia Barker, plus Ray Goldenchild, Dave Pasin and Matt Pregent.

Incumbent Vancouver Mayor Jean Swanson will lead a team of nine Coalition of Progressive Electors candidates in the fall elections (including council, park board and school board)

Vision Vancouver (a spin-off of COPE in the early 2000s) has four council candidates, two park administrators, and six school board candidates.

ABC Vancouver has five candidates for city council and one for mayor (Ken Sim).
