Warriors Grizzlies Game 5: Otto Porter Jr. excluded with pain in right foot

Otto Porter Jr. has been ruled out for the remainder of Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies due to right foot pain.

The Warriors made the announcement shortly after the second half began Wednesday night on FedExForum.

The Warriors played a poor first half and trailed 77-50 at halftime.

Porter played 12 minutes from the bench in the first half but didn’t have much of an impact, going scoreless at 0-of-3 from a 3-point range. He committed two errors and was a minus-8.

Other than Game 5, Porter has been extremely effective against the Grizzlies, especially in Game 3 when he was a plus-30 in 24 minutes off the bench.

If the Warriors can’t make a historic comeback in Game 5, they’ll have to hope Porter is ready to play Game 6 at Chase Center Friday night.
